JOAN "J the V" BLEDIG
The ERB Collection ~ Part I
.
J the V and Dejah Thoris (Sue-On Hillman)
standing under one of the great trees in J the V's jungle.

We called it "the old oak."

It's probably the oldest tree in my area.

Down the hill and into the jungle.

That's the infamous river I tried to swing across on a vine in my youth.

I fell in. As a matter of fact, I fell into this river more times than I care to remember.

We ice-skated on this river in winter.

I was always skating too close to the thin ice.

At least I never sailed into the river coming down the hill on my sled
like some of the neighborhood kids did!

.
My house is the one with the roosters on the shutters.

My two daily drivers are parked out front:
the little blue one is the 2-seater "toon car"

and the other is my UAV--
urban assault vehicle.

.
Joan and Bill under the Christmoose
JoN and I clowning around in my living room under the Chris-moose.

We never had Christmas trees as Ed was afraid the cats would destroy them so we had the Chris-moose instead.

The moose was a wedding present from one of our friends
who is a fine artist.

He's a noted welder and works a lot with sheet steel
and 55-gallon drums.

.

Dueling MACs and PCs in the computer room.

 My colorful kitchen.

One member of the coconut collection.
,

The rest of the coconuts.
They all have personal significance.
.

The coffee cup collection--
just for show, not for drinking.
.

My J the V brick, two small mixed media pieces of art
done by my father, and Ed's and my oil paintings painted
using the Bill Alexander method.
.
Dej with Buzz Bomb's (the polydactyl cat) look-alike pillow.

You may remember Buzz Bomb as the posting cat
from the early days of the Burroughs ListServes.

.
Bill with my pristine pencil sharpener.

Ed bid on and won this on ebay shortly before he passed away.

When it arrived he took it out of my hands, grabbed an unsharpened pencil, put it in the sharpener and said it had better sharpen that pencil for all the money he paid for it.

It did.

I've left the pencil he sharpened, as well as the shavings, in it.
