My illustrating history includes book covers and page art for a publisher in Baltimore, where my paintings graced the covers of classic adventure stories, including Treasure Island, The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, 1001 Arabian Nights and so on.  I also illustrated covers and inside art for Amazing and Fantastic, two sister pulp magazines.  One of those pulp covers was for a Conan story.  I was even fortunate enough to have my work grace the cover of two issues of Forrest Ackerman's Famous Monsters of Filmland. 

My favorite stories to illustrate, however, are the Burroughs adventures starting with A Princess of Mars, which I read at the age of twelve.  I read my older brother's copy and piled straight through his entire collection of Burroughs books after that.  A few years ago, I managed to meet the Panthans, a group of Burroughs Bibliophiles and have been creating many covers for their Panthan Journal, a monthly fanzine.
