aka TARZAN BEFORE DISNEY...and then evolves to...

AUNTIE HELEN'S in San Diego
A THRIFT STORE AND FREE LAUNDRY SERVICE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH AIDSERB followed some strange takes on evolution but this was one branch of the tree I don't think he ever explored. The little toddlers should love this site though.
"These illustrations are from an "officially" unpublished novel about an ape-man on Mars written by Stuart J. Byrne under the pseudonym of John Bloodstone. It was commissioned in the late forties by Ray Palmer, editor of many pulp magazines. [See ERBzine ] so it has existed in the "fan underground" for forty some odd years. When I came across a manuscript at a convention dealers table I saw it as an opportunity to illustrate both of my favorite Burroughs characters in one fell swoop. I produced a fullpage B&W illustration for each of the thirty one chapters."

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Thirsty monkeys in drought-affected eastern Kenya stoned to death a herder watering his livestock, a local newspaper reported Thursday. Ali Adam Hussein and other herdsmen had stopped to water their cattle at a pool in the northeastern Wajir district on Saturday when a group of wild monkeys attacked them with stones, the independent daily East African Standard said. Hussein died from severe head injuries, the newspaper quoted Abdi Gosho, a nurse in the village, as saying. The report did not specify what kind of monkey carried out the purported attack. Baboons have been known to throw objects at rivals. This week in Nkima's
