THE NEW TARZAN SERIES
These were five unauthorized and plagiarized Tarzan novels published by Gold Star Books.
They were poorly written with whole paragraphs plagiarized from the authorized Tarzan books.
Poor distribution followed by legal action from the Burroughs estate caused unsold copies
to be recalled shortly after publication of the fifth title.
Unsold copies were then destroyed.
As a result they are very scarce and quite collectible.
BARTON WERPER
Werper was a House Name used by
US authors Peter T Scott and Peg O'Neill Scott for these five books, each
working solo.
Cover art for all titles was by
Jack Endeweldt.

*** Tarzan and the Snake People
(1964)
*** Tarzan and the Abominable Snowman

This series enjoyed a short shelf-life

ERB, Inc. successfully sued the
publisher and the books were withdrawn in 1966.
